One of the nicest perks of going from an apartment to a house has been having a backyard. It's been so nice to take Hudson outside to play and he loves looking at all of the flowers and listening to the sounds. We kept the yard as is besides adding a few rose bushes and hydrangea plants, hope you enjoy seeing a little glimpse of it... Btw, sorry for the slow upload process of house photos, I will try to spread them out over the next few days! XOXO

It's back to school time and fall looks are already in stores! As I've gotten older, my favorite season to shop for has switched from summer to fall [which is a little hard to do when living in Southern California where it tends to stay hot for most of the year]. Even though the weather doesn't always permit for me to wear these things, I've especially gravitated towards the cozy layers, boots and rich colors that the season has to offer. I'm especially loving the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boot that Blair is wearing in the above pic [in love with her whole look as usual!]. What's your favorite fall trend? Hope you had a great weekend! We took Hudson to the beach for the first time on Saturday... he didn't love it but I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that he got his third tooth the next morning! Sales & Steals: Shopbop Markdowns

Happy Friday! I might be a little late to sharing this sale but thought it was worth it to mention that Shopbop listed some great new markdowns this week. There are a lot of cute coverup and swimwear options [perhaps for a beach trip Labor Day weekend?] and some really pretty dresses that would be great to have on hand for a last minute party invite! My favorite booties are also on sale [in both canvas and leather]... I've gotten so much use out of them year round and would highly recommend them if you're on the look out for some new shoes. XOXO  

Recipe: Rosemary Roasted Almonds

 The Ingredients

Raw Almonds, Fresh Rosemary, Olive Oil, Sea Salt, Chile Powder + Red Pepper Flakes [optional].

Simply combine all the ingredients [full recipe and instructions here via Cooking Light] and bake for 20 minutes until lightly toasted at 325 degrees.

Served on an antipasto platter with a sprig of fresh rosemary.

I wanted to share this super easy [and quick!] recipe that I made for Friday night... It only took a few minutes of prep work but added a nice touch to our appetizer spread. Decor: Housewarming Flowers + Food

The flowers I bought last week at the flower mart for Friday's housewarming party stretched into ten arrangements [I'm not complaining though, they were such a treat to have throughout the house!]... Happy Friday, hope you all had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend! Today is Hudson's 7 month birthday and tonight we are hosting our housewarming party so I'm spending the day with my little guy and finishing up some prep work for the evening... I went to the flower mart on Wednesday and had lots of fun creating arrangements for the party [fun fact: I took a floriculture class for two summers growing up, hence my obsession with fresh flowers!]. How I Spent My... 27th Birthday

I had a wonderful 27th birthday last week with my family and friends! I started the day off with an early pilates class, lunch at Joan's on Third [favorite lunch spot!], some window shopping and then dinner with my hubby and Hudson at La Grande Orange [best kale salad, deviled eggs and nachitos around]. I celebrated this past weekend with my girlfriends by going to a Soul Cycle class and brunch at Urth Caffe  [honey vanilla latte + granola with almond milk and fruit]. Beyond thankful for all the birthday wishes, here's to hoping 27 is the best year yet! XOXO

How I Spent My... Best Friend's Wedding Weekend

My very best friend got married on Sunday, July 7th in Santa Barbara and it was a wonderful weekend filled with lots of love! The bride looked absolutely beautiful and was glowing during all the festivities. The ceremony and reception took place at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum which is right near State Street [a really fun place to go out for food or drinks if you are ever in the area!]. We lucked out and got to wear really cute black lace bridesmaid dresses and our own shoes [I wore this pair from Zara] and she gifted us these pretty sparklers to wear on her special day. Such a perfect weekend celebrating the newlyweds! XOXO
