I turned 29 on the 23rd of July and finished up some celebrating this past weekend with my girlfriends ... saving my bday date with the hubby for after baby boy's arrival! On my actual day I woke up to a sweet breakfast made by my boys and then had lunch at Freds at Barney's and did a little shopping. On Saturday, I went to breakfast with my besties at my favorite, Joan's On Third, which was such a treat! This past weekend I got to celebrate baby boy a second time with some of my best friends at a tea party shower at The Langham [where we got married], it was such a treat and so much fun to spend time a relaxing afternoon together! Currently 35 1/2 weeks pregnant and tomorrow I turn 29 [eek last year before the big 3-0!] - can't believe our little guy will be here in a month or less! XOXO

We took our annual Labor Day Santa Barbara trip a little early this year because of baby boy's impending arrival and celebrated 4th of July up at Bacara this past Friday through Sunday. Hudson had a blast walking around the property, looking at the boats + ocean and especially loved playing in their pool and sand area! We also got left the hotel twice for some yummy treats at Freebird's in Isla Vista and McConnell's Ice Cream & Yogurt Shop on Mission. So nice to get away and make some memories as a family of three before our new addition makes his debut! Hope you had a great 4th! XOXO

Two weekend ago we got to go to NYC for a long weekend to visit some friends and take Hudson to some of our old favorite spots from when we lived there - it was lots of fun to take him around the city. We explored the Children's Museum, Central Park, The High Line + visited the 9/11 Memorial, ate at Dos Caminos, Javelina, Shake Shack + Bubby's and got some treats at Levain Bakery. The two highlights were meeting our friends' new baby [he was a week old!] and getting to visit one of my girlfriends that moved there last summer!

How I Spent My... Thanksgiving

Hope you all had a fun filled Thanksgiving week! We had a great time on Thursday at my sister's house [Hudson loved playing with his cousins!] and on Saturday we continued the celebration at our annual 'Friendsgiving' at my girlfriend's house. Always so nice to get together during the holiday season! I also started decorating for Christmas ... Buddy, the Elf on the Shelf, made his first appearance at our house Sunday night and Hudson is obsessed! XOXO

How I Spent My... Labor Day Weekend

We spent Saturday through Monday at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara and had a great time... it was our 5th year visiting and just as much fun as always! We pretty much just relaxed and stayed at the hotel except for one trip out to have a casual dinner at Freebirds [where they make the best nachos ever]. Friday night we hosted a wine tasting night at our house and I will share a little recap tomorrow... Hope you had a great 3 day weekend! XOXO

How I Spent My... Weekend

Last Saturday we attended a wedding for some of our friends at Sherwood Country Club [the brick + white buildings at the venue reminded me of SMU!]. It was a beautiful setting for a beautiful couple and makes me wish we had more weddings to go to this year because it was such a fun night! Hope you all are having a great week and have some fun Labor Day plans... Friday night I'm hosting a wine tasting for some of my girlfriends and then we are headed to Santa Barbara for our annual family trip! XOXO

How I Spent My... Trip To Hayward, WI

From Maui we headed over to Hayward, WI in honor of Hudson's great grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary! Everyone surprised them with two pontoon boats for a day out on the lake - they were decorated Hawaiian style and everyone dressed in festive gear to make it an event... gotta love a fun theme! How I Spent My... Vacation In Maui

We spent the beginning of August in Maui for our first big family vacation just the three of us and it was awesome! The best part was getting to spend so much time together and Hudson had an absolute blast playing in the pool and at the beach. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Wailea and I can't say enough good things about the hotel and the staff - they were so accommodating and the resort was beautiful!  Some favorite activities were early morning breakfast as a family, walking along the Wailea beach path, drinks and lunch at the pool, lunch at Mama's Fish House [approximately a 45 minute drive], sunset dinner at Spago [their drinks + food were my favorite of the trip!] and a relaxing birthday massage in one of spa's outdoor huts. We also really enjoyed a casual dinner at this great gluten free pizza place, Maui Brick Oven Pizza [thanks for the rec Natasha!] and gelato twice at Ono Gelato.
