Fabulous Friday

If you remember my recent giveaway then you know I've been loving Zara lately! It's so hard when there is one walking distance from my house not to pop in and take a peek.  This blush pink top reminded me of some of the items I  featured on my Shop Now: Shades Of Pink post.  I also loved the collar detail on this otherwise basic button up {similar looks here and here}.

I thought the print on this peter pan collar dress was so whimsical and a perfect transitional piece as we head into warmer months. This studded collar shirt shirt is from Zara's March campaign and is my favorite piece! I can't wait to pair it with some girly pieces {like these pink pants} to add some edge.

This blush colored paillettes jacket definitely falls into the girls' night out category; I have a few trips coming up with my girlfriends and this will be the perfect addition to add to my carry on.  I also got this awesome leopard shirt after seeing it styled in their People lookbook.  I plan on wearing it with a pair of colored trousers like these.

Switching over to beauty products, I've been using Kate Sommerville products for more than a year but thought it was time to try something new.  I picked up Skinceuticals' Purifying Cleanser, Renew Overnight OilyHydrating B5 Gel and the Physical Fusion SPF 50 after having a friend walk me through the line.  So far, I'm really happy with the switch!

This Stila smudge stick is always in my makeup bag.  I saw the new smudge crayon version and picked one up in Kitten {which is also the name of my favorite eyeshadow from the brand}. It's the perfect highlighter for the inner eye area and lasts all day.

Liquid eyeliner has always scared me but after seeing this on the sales girl at Sephora I decided to give it a try.  The thin brush enables a perfect application to create anything from a thin line to a dramatic cat eye!

This Tarte set was free with my Sephora Beauty Insider points and it was definitely worth saving up  for! It includes travel sizes products of my favorite bronzer, their silicone-free primer and smooth operator clay finishing powder along with full sized versions of their lip tinit in Lively and a high definition eye pencil

I hope everyone had a great week! I'm going to try to post my next giveaway this weekend so be sure stop by and check it out, especially if you're in need of some new arm candy! XOXO

How I Spent My... Weekend

Reading + Music: caught up with one of my favorite magazines featuring the gorgeous and talented Lana Del Rey. I have her new cd, Florence + The Machine and The Civil Wars' Barton Hollow currently on repeat!

Dinner With Friends: brought a colorful fruit salad to a potluck dinner consisting of strawberries, pineapple, raspberries, asian pear, pomegranate seeds and gala apples.

Girl Scout Cookie Delivery: It's a dangerous time of year... frozen Thin Mints are my favorite followed by Samoas and Tag-A-Longs.

Favorite Breakfast At Home: coffee with almond milk and stevia and a Greek honey yogurt bowl with strawberries, peanut butter and a sprinkle of cereal for crunch.

Frozen Yogurt: I gave up sweets for Lent but will admit that I have given in to my craving a few times.  I was so sad when Pinkberry got rid of their peanut butter yogurt {too die for!} but have happily discovered this yummy new combo: salted carmel and chocolate swirl with granola, Oreos and peanut butter crunch topping.

Daylight Savings: a Greek salad on a sunny Sunday after the time change.  I love the late sunsets but hate getting up when it is still dark out.

I also hit up the Rose Bowl Flea Market but unfortunately didn't walk away with any treasures this trip. How was everyone's weekend? Hope it was a great one!  XOXO

Current Obession: Cocoa & Hearts Artwork By Jen Ramos

I've been a fan of Jen Ramos' blog Made By Girl for awhile now and love the affordable prints she makes like this metallic letterpressed piece.  I'm an even bigger fan of the beautiful paintings on her site Cocoa & Hearts and was thrilled when I received this gorgeous, girly piece that I ordered from her recently. It's done in shades of pink and accented with metallic gold- my favorite color combo {the 4th photo captures the true colors best}!  I hope to add one of her large paintings to my collection in the near future! Buy Jen's artwork at Cocoa & Hearts and Made By Girl.

P.S. I received excellent customer service from her via email- she was as sweet as can be! XOXO

Review: Stylemint

I've been a fan of Stylemint for awhile now; back before they launched I was lucky enough to receive a few pieces from the collection and loved how soft and comfy they were!  I recently decided to become a member of the site and can now look forward to a cozy T {or two or three!} a month.  I thought $29.99 seemed pretty reasonable for a cute, fashionable shirt designed by the Olsen twins and I love the fact that you can "skip" a month free of charge if nothing catches your eye {which is highly unlikely with so many styles to choose from!}.

First up is the cute packaging; each shirt was individually wrapped in kraft paper and tied with a suede string.  I also appreciated the fast shipping; I received my shirts less than 2 days after I placed my order since I am a local Cali resident {their warehouse is based out here}.  I also need to give a hand to their excellent customer service department; unfortunately one of my shirts was not to my liking fit-wise and they were so quick to help issue a return and send me a packaging label {free of charge!}.

Since it was my first month ordering I felt a little behind and decided to pick up three t's to try out.  I choose the Madison, the Venice and the Charlton.  The fit on all three was pretty much the same {for reference I took a size 1 which is comparable to an XS}. I'm not sure if it was just the styles I choose but the length on these were a little on the shorter side.  Unfortuantely I didn't love how the Madison looked on me so I swapped it out for the Georgia which is currently on it's way; it looked adorable on Helena from Brooklyn Blonde so I'm excited to receive it!

Overall, I would definitely suggest giving Stylemint a try {I'm also a huge fan of their sister company Shoemint!}. I wore the Venice and Charlton {my favorite!} this weekend and will post recent outfit photos of both looks later today or early tomorrow!

Shop Now: Shades Of Pink

Elizabeth and James Floral Blazer $395.  J.Crew Cotton Tank $25. Lanvin Metallic Ballet Flats $575. TopShop Silk Runner Shorts $64. Zimmermann Ruffled Swimsuit $320.  Alexander McQueen Rose Gold Ring $285. Elizabeth and James Silk Chiffon Top $295. Elizabeth and James Floral Silk Pants $325.

If it wasn't already obvious, pink is my favorite color. There have been a ton of amazing pieces popping up online and these were a few of my favorites! I understand that pink can be a little overwhelming especially if you're not too keen on wearing color but there really is a shade of this hue that will suit everyone. Soft peaches and blush can be worn as you would a neutral; they go with pretty much anything! Bright peony and fuchsia can add a fun pop of color to a basic outfit.  What's your favorite pink piece for spring?
