How I Spent My... Thursday

I feel like these "How I Spent My..." posts are going to become a staple on the blog- love taking random pics throughout the day.

Finally got around to watching Food Inc. which made me oh so glad that I don't eat any sort of meat anymore!

Bought the ingredients to make Magnolia Bakery's Banana Pudding after seeing it on CupcakesandCashmere's blog this week.

Got package 1 of 2 from the Saks Friends and Family Sale. Just got some basics and love them all except for the T by Alexander Wang tank which will be returned- such a weird fit!

Picked up some new reading material (I randomly picked the book off of the bestseller shelf at Barnes & Noble).

Finally took my Cynthia Vincent for Target sandals out of the box- can't wait to get the wedge version in the mail this week after seeing them on Amber's blog!

Lit my favorite candle- seriously so yummy!

Other noteworthy events included an hour of spin class but didn't really know how to get a discreet shot of that..

TGIF! Excited to have some Mexican food and listen to some live music with the girlies tonight.

How I Spent My... Sunday

Enjoyed roses from my Mom's garden.

Laid out with some good reading material.

Found a spot in my room for a lovely orchid plant.

Started and finished this book- really enjoyed it.

Kate Bosworth takes the above song lyric literally and it pays off. Aviators and a Topshop croquet frock were rocked the day before with cowboy booties.

Jean shorts and sandals proved to be a comfy trend among beauties Kristin Cavallari and Rachel Bilson.

Alessandra Ambrosio and Camilla Belle prove that boots can be transitioned easily to spring and summer when paired with the right outfit.

I really wish that I could have made it out to Coachella this year- I would have loved to seen Jay-Z, Passion Pit, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Phoenix and Florence and the Machine!

Where The Blog Comes To Life...Take 2

So I finally got around to setting up the iMac my Dad gave me... Totally loving it! I've been using a laptop for the past 6 years so it's a nice change, plus the 27" screen is quite amazing. Since the screen takes up a lot of desk space I had to move some things around and now my desk houses the following: picture of my college besties, Diptyque "Baies" candle, mini calendar, magazine holder with all the recent monthly mags and a little bowl fillled with my Hermes bracelets.

I also decided it was time to revamp my bulletin board that hangs above my desk...I used to just have personal photos up but I decided it would be fun to make it a fashion inspiration board. I put up some of my favorite tears from magazines along with some of my favorite photos.

Anyways, here's a little peak at my work station! Underneath my desk I have a Shabby Chic bin that I put all my European magazines in to save (they are expensive and a great source of inspiration!) along with books I still need to read (currently finishing up Little Bee and next up to read I have Tender is the Night, a Marilyn Monroe biography or Harry Potter-hehe).
