Fabulous Friday

Happy Friday! I wanted to share a few recent decor additions.  My mom gave me the pretty pink quartz candle holder pictured above and I decided to use it as a makeup brush holder instead. It holds all of my favorite makeup brushes and also matches my beloved Tilly | Maison tray containing my beauty essentials {including La Mer's The Balm, Tom Ford lip products and my Chanel nail polish collection}.

The photo above is of two framed pieces my husband got for us for our one year anniversary. One is a framed copy of the Los Angeles Times article about our wedding and another is of a photo we took from our hotel while honeymooning in Santorini along with the hotel's business card.  So happy to have these as daily reminders of that amazing day and trip! Review: Tarte Foundation & Macadamia Masque

Summer is offically here and that calls for some new beauty items to review! I picked up this Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Foundation at Sephora after hearing great things on various beauty blogs.  I got the Light-Medium shade and it has a nice mousse-like texture and provides a flawless finish that lasts all day.  I also love that it is paraben and sulfate free and has SPF 15. For reference I am #120 Light Sand in the winter and #127 Dark Sand in the summer in Make Up For Ever's HD Foundation. I also have the Tarte Smooth Operator Micronized Clay Finishing Powder and the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Blissful and would recommend them as well.

The other beauty item that I've been on the hunt for is a great hair masque.  The summer heat always makes my hair a little on the dry side and I wanted something to really quench my strands before I go get highlights next week. My favorite hair products are from Kerastase, Davines and L'Oreal Professionnel but after reading some great reviews I ended up purchasing this Macadamia Deep Repair Masque.  I plan on using it tonight so I'll report back and let you know what I think.  Do you have any new summer beauty favorites? Fabulous Friday

My all time favorite flowers are finally blooming!

So obsessed with these monogram compacts! I got mine as a gift at the bridal luncheon last weekend.

Can't wait for my next girls trip to Connecticut and NYC at the end of the month!
