Styling Solutions: 4th of July Backyard BBQ

It's the last Styling Solutions post featuring 4th of July ideas and this one is probably the most literal and patriotic! My favorite piece is the Current/Elliot Star Jeans which have been seen on Rachel Bilson, Khloe Kardashian, Dakota Fanning and Jessica Alba. They also come in a cute cut-off version here!

If missed, check out my previous posts here and here for more ideas on what to wear tomorrow. Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th! XOXO

Styling Solutions: 4th Of July Beach Day

As promised, here is the next Styling Solutions for the upcoming 4th.  A day at the beach usually calls for a casual look but if you are glamming it up somewhere like the Hamptons you might want to be a little more polished.  Here are two cute looks that are sure to meet your needs whether it be more relaxed or fancy. The striped tote, bikini and wedges are all on sale too so act fast!  Be sure to check out last week's post if you missed it here. XOXO

Styling Solutions: 4th Of July Cocktail Party

I thought it would be fun to do some 4th of July themed Styling Solutions posts the next three Tuesdays leading up to the 4th; here is the first!  This outfit would be perfect for a cocktail party or drinks on America's special day.  The great thing about both of these looks is that most of the items are under $100 or could be easily created from pieces you already have in your closet. Stay tuned for Beach Day and BBQ themed patriotic posts! XOXO

Update: The Dorothy Perkins Blue Stripe Dress is sold out but try these options here, here, here and here.

Styling Solutions: Sex & The City Inspired

The ladies of Sex & The City will always be near and dear to my heart.  I've seen every episode {more than once} and used to watch rerun marathons with my best girlfriends in college.  The stylist behind the TV show and movies, Patrica Field, created such distinct and inspiring looks for the girls that I often times find myself saying "this is such a Charlotte dress" or "this is such a Carrie shoe." I think my favorite episode is a tie between The Real Me {when Carrie trips in the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show} and the series finale An American Girl In Paris. Which episode was your favorite?

Styling Solutions: Summer Abroad

The Talented Mr. Ripley is one of my favorite movies. The scenery is just breathtaking and so is Gwyenth Paltrow's look; her character's wardrobe is the epitome of easy-chicness. These pieces can be mixed and matched in any combination and the look will still be on point and polished... a perfect look for a summer abroad or a trip to the lake! I own these Sperry Metallic Boat Shoes and find that they add a hint of all American preppiness to any outfit. XOXO

Styling Solutions: Stagecoach Country Chic

If boho glam isn't your thing {see Coachella inspiration here} then check out these adorable options for a country chic look.  Whether you're attending the Stagecoach music festival or if you just want to channel your inner Taylor Swift, these looks are for you.  I'm not a big country music girl but I've come to love cowboy boots and teased hair after calling Dallas my second home for four years while attending SMU!

Do you need inspiration for an upcoming event or styling advice on how to recreate your favorite celebrity look or editorial? Leave me a comment with a link to a photo or article if applicable and I'll try to incorporate it into an upcoming Styling Soultions post! XOXO

Styling Solutions: Coachella Boho Glam

Are you one of the lucky ones attending Coachella this year? As an LA native, I'm embarrassed to admit that I have never been to the infamous music festival... need to change that asap! I wish I was going this year because there is an especially stellar lineup.  I'd love to hear Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg, Florence + The Machine, Girl Talk and The Black Keys perform!  For all you country lovers, don't fret, I have a Stagecoach inspiration board coming up soon so be sure to check back in.
