How I Spent My... Trip To NYC

Two weekend ago we got to go to NYC for a long weekend to visit some friends and take Hudson to some of our old favorite spots from when we lived there - it was lots of fun to take him around the city. We explored the Children's Museum, Central Park, The High Line + visited the 9/11 Memorial, ate at Dos Caminos, Javelina, Shake Shack + Bubby's and got some treats at Levain Bakery. The two highlights were meeting our friends' new baby [he was a week old!] and getting to visit one of my girlfriends that moved there last summer!

I can't believe Easter is just a few days away! I put together a few of my favorite ideas for Easter basket goodies for boys and girls. If you follow me on Instagram, I shared that we are expecting a baby brother for Hudson this August - I can't wait to see my boys grow up together! I've been prepping the nursery since we found out and I'm looking forward to sharing some photos of the completed space in a few weeks... I wanted to keep the room very light and neutral with a few splashes of color that can be swapped out later on as he gets older. A few of my other favorite pieces that will be in the room is this leather mobile [Hudson had the same one but in different colors], these white linen curtains and a custom banner from Sharp Tooth Studios. In the coming weeks I'm hoping to share my favorite pregnancy essentials and a list of our must haves for baby #2. We still need a name for the new babe if you have any suggestions! XOXO

Merry Christmas Eve to those that celebrate! This past Saturday we had our annual girls gift exchange and brunch at my house - everyone brought such yummy food and great company! It was also a fun excuse to deck the house up for the holidays and one of my favorite new decor pieces was this Minda Home Pom Pom Stocking. Our theme for our gift exchange was a take on "Oprah's Favorite Things" so all the girls brought a favorite item and we played a white elephant type of game. Lots of holiday fun! The last weekend before Christmas, can you believe it?! I always love the week leading up to Christmas Day ... it feels extra festive baking, wrapping presents and spending time with friends and family.
