Review: Melanie Auld Spring 2014

Packages from the sweet Melanie Auld always make my day but I think this one might be the most amazing one I've received thus far! Her spring 2014 collection is to die for in person... I've been lusting over all the preview pics she's posted on her Instagram over the last few months but I must say they are even better in real life [which I didn't think was possible]. Check out the full spring collection here and be sure to take a peek at the sale she is hosting here [up to 50% plus use EXTRA15 to receive an additional 15% off your sale purchase]. What piece from her new collection is your favorite? XOXO

Etc: Earring Organization

J.Crew Earrings [on sale in stores now].

While on a recent cleaning kick, I decided I needed an easier way to view some of my favorite statement earrings that are normally buried away in a drawer or box. I usually forget to add jewelry on a daily basis simply because I don't see what I have! This acrylic tray from The Container Store creates a perfect way to display some of my gems and was under $10 [plus you can stack them if you have multiples]! XOXO

Gift Guide: Melanie Auld Jewelry

Still in need of some holiday gift ideas? I received some stunning jewelry from the lovely Melanie Auld [she generously has hosted a few giveaways here and was recently featured in InStyle magazine] this week that would make the perfect, unique gift for the mom/ girlfriend/ bestie in your life! The craftsmanship on all her pieces are excellent and I love the natural stones she uses... the rutilated quartz on the ring was so hard to photograph but it is absolutely beautiful! Some gorgeous gems are currently on sale or you can use code INSTYLE25 for 25% off the site. XOXO

Gift Guide: Something Sparkly

I think most girls would admit that they would love to find a little sparkle under their tree this holiday season! My main tip for buying jewelry for someone else is that when in doubt, go for something subtle and timeless [look at Jennifer Meyer, Dana Rebecca Designs, Monica Viander or Gorjana for ideas] or add a little personalization with a monogrammed piece [Max and Chloe's West Avenue Monogrammed Necklace is a favorite, see mine here]. If you want to go a little bolder, J.Crew has fun and affordable pieces that would be a safe pick and add instant pizazz to an otherwise basic outfit. For those with a bigger budget, Anita Ko, Cartier [the Love collection], Hermes [any of their bracelets] or something vintage would be my suggestion. XOXO

Fabulous Friday

O'Hara Pendant | Coco Bracelet in Antique Gold | Thorner Bracelet in Sunkissed

Love the way she includes a personal note in each package!

Happy Friday! Jenn from EllandEmm sent me the sweetest holiday package this week... She is always so generous with hosting giveaways, you must check out her site if you haven't yet [besides her amazing jewelry pieces she also sells these adorable purse poufs, obsessed with the black one]! I also love following her on Instagram... her decor aesthetic and purse collection is unreal! Hope you all have a festive fall weekend! XOXO

Wow...

Old news but worth a mention...Hilary Duff's 14 carat, $1 million engagement ring. Wowza.

On a side note, I have been a vegetarian (sometimes I'll fish maybe once or twice a month but no red or white meats of any kind) for exactly 8 month now- started on 4th of July!

Organization At Its Best

I made a stop at the Container Store this past weekend to pick up some of the best things ever invented (aka Huggable Hangers- on sale!) and thought that my necklaces could be organized in a more viewer friendly manner. Previously I had them stored in my jewelry box but they would often get tangled and I would forget what I had when I was rushing to get ready... Now I don't need to worry about remembering what I have or tangles.

Necklace Holder approximately $19 at any Container Store (sorry, don't see it online).

My Jewelry Staples

Just wanted to share the pieces of jewelry that I wear daily.  My Cartier Tank silver/gold watch was a 21st birthday present from my parents, my red Hamsa bracelet was a gift to myself (I'm on my third one because the string keeps breaking), and my Dogeared gold wishbone necklace is very special because 4 of my best friends have matching ones.
