Cover Girl: Jessica Simpson For Glamour's September Issue

I think J. Simp looks absolutely adorable on and in Glamour's September 2009 issue!  I adore the outfit she is wearing on the cover- she makes that Gucci jacket look a lot more accessible than the full suit version Sienna Miller recently wore.  I also love the Anita Ko jaguar ring she is sporting...apparently she gave her mom and sister matching ones for Mother's day!

Vintage At Its Best

Jessica Simpson's 2004 Elle shoot reminds me of my Freshmen year of college...I had these pics taped up on my wall (among my 36 pic B. Spears collage) for style inspiration and I specifically remember running out to buy the orange Ralph Lauren polo from the shoot.  This year's September issue of Elle tried to recreate these looks but nothing beats the original.

  

 

Fashion Flashback: Jessica Simpson

I loved Jessica Simpson's style during the good old days of Newlyweds and Nick Lachey: Vera Wang wedding dress, Cecilia de Bucourt shawl, torn True Religions...Sadly, her style has not been the same post divorce and plastic surgery mishaps (trout pout anyone?).  This is all the more reason to break out my Newlyweds DVDs and reflect on the her style that was.  Hopefully, she will someday return back to the J. Simp we know and love.
