Review: Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer

My all time favorite concealer is Cle de Peau in Beige and while it lasts a really long time the price is not so great. I've been searching for a cheaper alternative for awhile with zero luck. After reading a lot of reviews of Maybelline's Age Rewind Concealer online, I had high hopes and decided to test it out for myself.

Pros
Easy to apply and cute packaging.
Great for on the go touch ups.
The thin coverage prevents the product from settling into fine lines.
Under $10.

Cons
The brush attached can't be cleaned.
Not an ideal product for problem skin or blemishes.
The coverage doesn't build up very well.

I'd recommend this if you are looking for something to cover light spots or circles {plus the price is great!}. However, this is not a good match for someone who likes full coverage or who has problem skin. My search continues...do you have a favorite concealer at a decent price that you'd rec? XOXO

Love your blog and congrats on baby Hudson. L'oreal True Match is not bad for an everyday concealer.

I actually LOVE this stuff. Discovered it about a month ago. I like if for the light coverage and it's easy to blend.
Hope you find something soon!

I have been using Bobbi Brown Concealer since I was 16 and still love it. The price point is not too bad (around $25-$30 I believe) and one little pot lasts me all year long.

Thanks for the review!

I've tried various concealers and one that seems to work for me now is Benefit Erase Paste. Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage is quite good as well.

I use Kevyn Aucoin skin enhancer. INTENSE pigment...like nothing you will ever use. It is very creamy. Can be used with a moisturizer to make a foundation.I have had mine for a year and in all seriousness...barely scratched the surface. Again, very pigmented!

I recently got the laura mercier secret concealer and LOVE it! I wear the maybelline on top for brightness and the corrector first :)

I like that one you mentioned for under eyes. But, this one is really good! Revlon photo ready concealer.

Bobbi Brown has two really good products - a concealer and corrector. I would recommend checking them out!

this is a corrector.. so it goes under your concealer. but a good concealer is mac one in the little pot. studio sculpt or something?

For undereyes, I absolutely LOVE Stila. It's just the right amount of coverage, goes on smoothly, and never cakes.

And hands down the absolute best concealer for everywhere else on the face, is Hourglass hidden corrective concealer stick. It's like butter! Sets so well and covers beautifully :-)
