By now, you've probably seen the gorgeous ad with Emma Stone wearing Revlon's Lip Butter in Peach Parfait {which sadly was the only color I couldn't find in stores during my search}. There are a ton of reviews of this product online but I thought I'd go ahead and share my thoughts.
{First Thoughts}
Each lipstick comes in an adorable quilted case colored to match the actual product. For the most part, the colors were spot on and I also liked that you could see the color from the top of the tube.
{Colors Reviewed From Left To Right}
Creamsicle, Creme Brulee, Strawberry Shortcake, Sweet Tart, Berry Smoothie, Lollipop, Raspberry Pie, Candy Apple and Cherry Tart.
{Photo Without Flash}
The consistency of Revoln's Lip Butters are very similar to Bobbi Brown's Creamy Lip Color both of which go on like a thick, creamy chapstick. I also loved that the colors were true to how they looked in the tube. For the most part, they all had buildable depth especially some of the darker colors.
{Photo With Flash}
For reference, I actually think this photo with flash captures the colors best. Creamsicle is a very light and creamy nude that looked horrible on me. It might look better during the summer time or layered over a brighter color. Overall opinion is that it wasn't my favorite. Creme Brulee is a pretty brown/pink nude that is very easy to wear. Two of my favorite colors that I tried are Strawberry Shortcake and Sweet Tart. Both are pinks that work really well with my coloring {fair with yellow undertones, tans easily} and are good for everyday if I want something a little fun. Next up is Berry Smoothie which is a light berry that I think could work for anyone. It's a great everyday color to have on hand to make your natural lip color look a little more polished. The next four colors were on the darker end of the spectrum. Lollipop is a blue based fushia pink with shimmer in it that reminded me of Barbie. Raspberry Pie is a bold, dark pink but it would look great with flawless skin and simple eye makeup. Candy Apple is a orange based red {which works better for me} and Cherry Tart is a blue based red that had some shimmer in it.
Overall, I thought this was a great product at a really affordable price {$6.50-$7.50 depending where you buy from} which is great because you can experiment with colors you normally wouldn't. I bought these at Walgreens where they were having buy one, get one 50% off so all 9 of these were almost the same price as buying a single Tom Ford lipstick! My favorite lipsticks of all time are still Tom Ford and Bobbi Brown's Creamy Lip Color but I think Revlon Lip Butters are very comparable in terms of color range and consistency.
Stay tuned for a Giveaway and another Valentine's Inspiration Board this week! XOXO

The best lip balm/gloss ever is Cover Girl Lipslicks in "Daring" (SO old school!). It has the most perfect berry tint that looks great on everyone. Try it, I promise you wont be disappointed!

Just bought Peach Parfait, not realizing that was the color used in the campaign and I love it! It really has a great consistency and wears well considering it's a lipstick! :)
