Leaving On A Jet Plane... Bachelorette Bash Edition!

Started out packing for my Bachelorette Bash to Austin this weekend...

I promise there is a method to my madness! The simple answer is this: I'm an over-packer no matter how early I start packing or how long I spend trying to pare down to the necessities- you never know what you might need when away from home!

The jewels: staples like my Jennifer Meyer initial necklace, Cartier tank watch and Hermes bracelet along with some Kendra Scott statement earrings and David Yurman ring.

"Thank You" gift for my MOH for planning the bash.

Gonna miss this little face while I'm gone... She is always so excited when I come home!

I'm sure I'll have some great photos to share when I return from the weekend- everything is a surprise and I just can not wait!!!

Best Dressed: 2011 MET Ball

My favorite fashion day of the year: the MET Ball! Even better? This year the exhibition paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen aka genius and the fashion house behind Kate Middleton's wedding dress (more on that later).

My two favorite looks by a mile are Liv Tyler in Givenchy- so refreshing and fun- and Diane Kruger in Jason Wu- she always looks amazing!

The above looks were a little "safe" but I thought Diana Argon in Michael Kors, Rosie Huntington-Whitely in Burberry and Gwyneth Paltrow in Stella McCartney all looked lovely.

These two ladies took quite a risk but I appreciate it: Isabel Lucas in Louis Vuitton and Blake Lively in Chanel Haute Couture.

Magazine day at the Brentwood newsstand.

Lunch at Farm Shop in the Brentwood Country Mart.

Took some goodies to go... their cookies are to die for!

A trip to Sugar Paper for some "day of" wedding paper goods.

Extra envelopes from my "Save The Date" and wedding invites, a mother's day gift, a new candle and gold fleur de lis bottle openers to put out on the bars at the wedding.

Notecards to keep on hand, just in case.
