Best Buttery Blonde

Getting my hair highlighted is one of  the things that I look forward to most because I love how it looks all fresh and shimmery afterwards (thanks Justin, my LA colorist).  I go to the same salon as Reese and Nicole (Neil George in Beverly Hills) and always leave feeling like a celebrity.  Blake Lively's blonde is also heavenly...I must find out who her New York colorist is for when I can't make it back home in time!

Rosey Posey and Peachy Keen

I absolutely love buying makeup but I usually remain faithful to my staples.  Blush is one of my favorite products and I always layer at least two together to get the perfect color.  Here are my four must haves: (From top left) Chanel Orchid Rose, Limited Edition Bobbi Brown Peony Shimmer Brick, Limited Edition Mac Don't Be Shy and Nars Orgasm

It's Britney Bitch

Almost everyone is rooting for the comeback of America's favorite pop princess Britney Spears.  I must say I was worried for some time that it might not happen but she has been looking great lately and now I have high hopes once again.  Just wanted to post some vintage B. Spears pics when she was at the top of her game. Now if only we could get her and JT back together...

Celeb Style of the Day: Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie is my favorite fashionista out there.  She has a unique, personal style that has created many copy cats but she always comes out on top.  Since having her adorable baby Harlow she has been looking better than ever and has been wearing more relaxed styles to adapt to her new mommy lifestyle.

Scarves For Summer

As you can probably tell from my Sir Alistair Rai post, I love scarves and think they are great to wear year round.  New brand Sunshine and Shadow created a great line of tie dyed, silk scarves that easily transition from Summer to Fall.  I love the burgundy/pink one that Rihanna recently wore out in NYC and a black/white combo that I saw at Barneys a few weeks ago.

Sunshine and Shadow can be bought at shopbop.com or Barneys NYC

Crazy For Chanel

Like any girl I love Chanel purses but can't afford a new one very often.  When buying a high end bag I think that its always important to make sure that the style and brand are timeless so that you get the most of your money and Chanel definitely meets both of those criterias.  The next Chanel purchase on my list is the Jumbo Flap bag in Black (seen on LC).... Maybe Santa will bring me one if I'm good :)

Marchesa: Rosettes and Feathers

I'm totally obsessed with Marchesa for two reasons: It's designer (well one of them) Georgina Chapman and the gorgeous gowns they create.  I've always loved rosette detailing on dresses and I think that this collection of gowns really show how to make it look chic and not cheap.  I also like the feather detailing on some of the gowns, especially since it is used as an accent and not as the main focal point.  Jessica Alba and Anne Hathaway both wore gowns from the same collection to the Oscars this past February and looked amazing.

My Staple Scarf

When I saw Nicole Richie wearing the Sir Alistair Rai scarf in "Karma" I knew I had to have it!  Luckily I ordered it in January before it got waitlisted on many websites and have been wearing it nonstop ever since.  I've worn it on Valentine's Day, to see the SATC movie, and on a long flight to NYC...It's perfect for all occasions! L. Lohan, Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore and Vanessa Hudgens are also fans of the line.

Vintage At Its Best

Jessica Simpson's 2004 Elle shoot reminds me of my Freshmen year of college...I had these pics taped up on my wall (among my 36 pic B. Spears collage) for style inspiration and I specifically remember running out to buy the orange Ralph Lauren polo from the shoot.  This year's September issue of Elle tried to recreate these looks but nothing beats the original.

Celeb Style of the Day: Sienna Miller

There has been a lot of recent coverage regarding Sienna Miller's love life but it's really her style that makes her a standout.  She is among the ranks of Kate Moss in the sense that she can get away with wearing pretty much anything while still having it be considered fashionable.  Not only am I a fan of her personal style but also of her clothing line, Twenty8Twelve, which she created with her sister Savannah.

Wild Cats in the House

With the fast approaching release of everyone's favorite, modern day musical it makes sense that Elle did a shoot highlighting the 3 main stars: Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, and Zac Efron.  I think it make perfect sense that the pics recreate the style of Grease since it is what the High School Musical franchise is often compared to.  My favorite look is Vanessa's outfit in the shot against the painted wall because it mixes both modern and vintage into a seamless union.

The Hills ♥ Alexander Wang

The ladies of the Hills often wear one of my favorite new designers, Alexander Wang.  His pieces have a really clean, sophisticated look and come in timeless designs.  I only own one Wang piece at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to get a couple pieces from his fall collection (like the ruffle skirt a few posts below).

My New Sunnies

Last week I decided to treat myself to a much needed new pair of sunnies.  While my gold Marc Jacobs avaiators will always be my favorite and my black Chanels will always remind me of Freshmen year at SMU, it was time for a change or shall I say addition to my collection.  I went with the Dior 60's 2 sunglasses in Havana from Bergdorf Goodman.
