Product Obsession: T3 Featherweight Dryer

I can't say enough good things about the T3 Featherweight Dryer that I picked up at Sephora a month ago.  I have straight, thick hair and this has not only cut down on my drying time but has also made my hair smoother and sleeker (which means that I'm using my straightener a lot less).  It's a bit pricey but I would definitely consider it a great investment!

Available at Sephora for $200.

Hair Secrets: Kerastase

To keep my color fresh after a visit at Neil George Salon  I almost exclusively use Kerastase hair products (sometimes I alternate with Davines).  I try not to shampoo too often but when I do I switch off between the Bain Chroma Riche which is for dry, highlighted hair and Bain Satin #2 or #3 for moisture.

For conditioner I use Lait Vital for everyday and then use the Chroma Riche hair mask about once a week to keep my hair in tip top shape.  I also really adore Davine's Love conditioner because of its yummy grapefruit scent.

Before every blow-dry I put the Ciment Thermique and Oleo Relax throughout the ends of my hair for heat styling protection and shine.  I'm also hearing great things about a new product that used to only be available overseas called Noctogenist which comes in a serum or cream and is used as an overnight repair product.

Kerastase can be purchased at some of my favorite salons: Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills, Osgood O'Neil Salon in Dallas and Butterfly Salon in New York.

Best Buttery Blonde

Getting my hair highlighted is one of  the things that I look forward to most because I love how it looks all fresh and shimmery afterwards (thanks Justin, my LA colorist).  I go to the same salon as Reese and Nicole (Neil George in Beverly Hills) and always leave feeling like a celebrity.  Blake Lively's blonde is also heavenly...I must find out who her New York colorist is for when I can't make it back home in time!

Bridget Bardot Bouffant

The name Bridget Bardot is usually correlated with sexy and voluminous hair.  Her iconic, carefree, bed head is an inspiration for many celebrities (and girls at SMU).  The great thing about this hairstyle is that it is classic and works on pretty much anyone.  My favorite updated version is from Jessica Simpson's September 2004 Elle photoshoot.

Hippy Chic

I love the 60s/70s vibe that these horizontal hippy headbands give off.  The embedded rhinestones in Nicole's creates a glam rock and roll look (perfect for watching Joel perform) while Ashlee's plain leather band works perfect for a day time stroll in her peach Gerard Darel Maxi Dress (Angelina wore the same designer during her pregnancy).  My favorite versions are the ones that tie in the back so that you can adjust them for a perfect fit.

Braids

I've loved braided hair ever since J. Simpson's "Boy I Think That I'm in Love With You..." music video.  The love continued in junior high along with twists and butterfly clips (which thankfully are not coming back in style anytime soon).  Now braids are back (not that they necessarily left) and are making the most simple hairstyle bohemian chic! I love how Nicole Richie, Sienna Miller, and LC wear their braids from the red carpet to the streets
