Etc.

I've been obsessed with these Aldo shoes ever since I saw them in a press showroom a few weeks ago. When I finally saw them in the Aldo store on Wednesday, I snatched a pair up! Perfect holiday shoes that work with tights or ankle socks!

Picked up some makeup necessities at Sephora.

From left to right: Stila Eyeshadows in Wheat, Kitten and Grace. Stila Smudge Stick Liner in Lionfish.

Dropped off some goodies for my fiance for his 25th birthday (he unfortunately had to work late- celebrating tonight)... Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice, Coconut and Red Velvet cupcakes!

Did some damage at the newsstand. Looking for some fabulous fashion editorials to redo my inspiration board!

I'm In Self Magazine's December Issue!

Back in 2006 I had a horrible mani-pedi experience and ended up getting MRSA (a type of staph) from my pedicure. Today I am totally fine except for a few small scars and I was interviewed by Self magazine after they read about my experience in my college's newspaper... Fast forward four years later and my article just came out in the December 2010 issue with Heidi Klum on the cover!

Check out the article below (sorry for the small print), click here for the full text or pick up a copy on newsstands now!

Melanie Auld "Farrah" Handbag Review!

I was recently approached by the lovely Melanie Auld of Melanie Auld Designs to do a review on one of her fabulous handbags! I had my choice of style and color and decided to go with the "Farrah" bag in Terra that had recently been featured in the October issue of Lucky Magazine! Melanie asked me to put together a couple of outfits and show how I would wear the "Farrah"- it was such a fun task!

Lots of detail makes the bag unique.

The leather has an amazing texture!

Outfit 1: Daytime/Work
This is something that I would definitely wear to work or around town- I actually wore this Saturday while I was out running errands. I paired a J.Crew jacket and long sleeve shirt with a skirt from Urban Outfitters and the infamous Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges. For this causal look, I decided to use the matching leather strap.

Fun fact: the "Farrah" can be worn 3 different ways- leather strap, gold chain or as a clutch!

Outfit #2: Date Night
I got this dress recently from Kate Moss' final collection for Topshop and thought it would be fun to make it a little more season appropriate with some J.Crew ankle socks (they came in a pack of 3) that I have been trying to figure out how to wear! I finished the look with a pair of Miu Miu shoes and of course the "Farrah"- this time in clutch form!

Outfit #3: Holiday Party
I thought that this was the perfect little outfit for the upcoming holiday season. Dresses are usually my go to for events but I thought this was fun because it's unexpected. I pulled out my new Joie rabbit fur jacket and added a Madewell cream silk button up shirt, a J.Crew necklace (a mix of metal and pearls), Theory leather shorts and Steve Madden wedges. This time I used the gold chain to play up the gold in the necklace.

Outfit #4: Saturday Night Party
I actually wore this Saturday night to my friend's engagement party! I was so excited to have the "Farrah" to take with me. I wore a BCBG dress, Jimmy Choo heels and my usual mix of jewelry.

If you would like to purchase one of Melanie's fabulous creations head on over to her website-she also makes jewelry!!! A big thank you to Melanie for letting me review such a lovely bag!

Sugar Paper: Personalized Stationery

As an engagement present, my Mom let me pick out a set of letterpressed stationery from Sugar Paper in Brentwood, California to write all of my thank you notes on for upcoming wedding events. They will definitely be put to good use in the upcoming months!

I love how they packaged the final product so I could see it right away! It took about 4 weeks from start to finish to pick out the style and colors I wanted, to them making the actual letterpress, to receiving the final product. I chose metallic gold and a light pink color on white for the stationery along with matching pink envelopes with gold/white envelope liners.

I just ordered my save the dates from this company and am so excited to get them towards the end of the month, I will be sure to share pics once I receive them!
