I was recently approached by the lovely Melanie Auld of
Melanie Auld Designs to do a review on one of her fabulous handbags! I had my choice of style and color and decided to go with the "Farrah" bag in Terra that had recently been featured in the October issue of
Lucky Magazine! Melanie asked me to put together a couple of outfits and show how I would wear the "Farrah"- it was such a fun task!
Lots of detail makes the bag unique.
The leather has an amazing texture!
Outfit 1: Daytime/Work
This is something that I would definitely wear to work or around town- I actually wore this Saturday while I was out running errands. I paired a J.Crew jacket and long sleeve shirt with a skirt from Urban Outfitters and the infamous Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges. For this causal look, I decided to use the matching leather strap.
Fun fact: the "Farrah" can be worn 3 different ways- leather strap, gold chain or as a clutch!
Outfit #2: Date Night
I got this dress recently from
Kate Moss' final collection for Topshop and thought it would be fun to make it a little more season appropriate with some
J.Crew ankle socks (they came in a pack of 3) that I have been trying to figure out how to wear! I finished the look with a pair of Miu Miu shoes and of course the "Farrah"- this time in clutch form!
Outfit #3: Holiday Party
I thought that this was the perfect little outfit for the upcoming holiday season. Dresses are usually my go to for events but I thought this was fun because it's unexpected. I pulled out my new
Joie rabbit fur jacket and added a Madewell cream silk button up shirt, a J.Crew necklace (a mix of metal and pearls), Theory leather shorts and Steve Madden wedges. This time I used the gold chain to play up the gold in the necklace.
Outfit #4: Saturday Night Party
I actually wore this Saturday night to my friend's engagement party! I was so excited to have the "Farrah" to take with me. I wore a BCBG dress, Jimmy Choo heels and my usual mix of jewelry.
If you would like to purchase one of Melanie's fabulous creations head on over to her
website-she also makes jewelry!!! A big
thank you to Melanie for letting me review such a lovely bag!
